Manage multiple resource requirements
Overview
If your organization has the Multiple resource requirements (MRR) feature enabled, you can specify multiple groups of resources and required tags for each work item. This feature can be useful when you need to specify different tags for different stages of a work item.
For example, you may need to specify that a work item requires one set of tags for the first two hours and then a different set of tags for the remaining six hours.
Important
The Multiple resource requirements feature must be enabled by an administrator before it can be used. Contact your Skedulo Customer Success Manager to request access to this feature. You can use optimization to allocate work with multiple resource requirements provided the work item has a set time.
A quick way to tell if the Multiple resource requirements feature is enabled for your organization is to open a work details page and look at the Resources column. If you see Add another requirement, then the feature is enabled.
Caution
Adding multiple resource requirements to jobs created before the Multiple resource requirements feature was enabled may cause complications. Schedulers are warned that this action might activate custom triggers in Salesforce (if configured by their organization), allowing them to take appropriate action.Known limitations
The following features are not supported when the Multiple resource requirements feature is enabled:
- The Suggest feature is disabled on both the Schedule tab of the work details page and the Work list in all consoles.
- Allocate job from Recurring Schedule view. The Allocate button is unavailable.
- Reschedule a job.
- Restore a canceled job.
